The Swallows of Kabul

In 2011 I was contacted by Les Armateurs, the producers of The Triplette of Belleville, Erneste and Ceélestine, Brendan and the secret of Kells. They asked me to make some design test for The Swallows of Kabul ( Les Hirondelles de Kaboul ). I did many rough sketches of the characters and some environment studies. Here's one of the main characters, it was my first attempt, they then went for a different style. Too bad I didn't get the chance to try a different approach. It was fun though.
